Extended Deadlines and Updates

 

France:

The 5-year EPR Waste Prevention and Eco-Design plan in France has had its deadlines extended, giving companies more time to prepare.

  • September 15, 2023: New Due Date for Textile 5-Year Plan.
  • September 30, 2023: New Due Date for Packaging 5-Year Plan.

Italy:

  • September 20, 2023: New Deadline for Q2 2023 VAT Return.

Germany:

  • October 2, 2023: Deadline for 2022 Yearly VAT Return.
  • September 2, 2024: Deadline for 2023 Yearly VAT Return.

The 2024 tax year will return to the normal deadline of July 31, 2025.

Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)

Hungary:

Starting from July 1, 2023, producers and manufacturers in Hungary will take on the responsibility of managing waste costs for specific products, including packaging material, electrical and electronic equipment, and batteries. Register with the National Waste Management Authority, submit quantity reports, and pay quarterly fees to MOHU to comply with this new regulation.

Spain:

There have been changes made to the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) program in Spain, which now holds producers accountable for the expenses related to waste management for certain products. This includes light packaging, paper cardboard, glass containers, batteries and accumulators, out-of-use tires, and waste electrical and electronic equipment.
